การไปครั้งนี้ก็ไม่ได้ไปมือเปล่า อาจารย์วิลเลี่ยมได้หอบหนังสือข่าวประเสริฐที่กลุ่มGTOได้จัดพิมพ์ขึ้นเป็นภาษาปวากะญอ ไปแจกให้ชาวบ้านด้วย

ลินซี่ เป็นหนึ่งในคนหนุ่มที่อาสามาช่วยGTO ในยุคบุกเบิกในประเทศไทย

He brought about ten boxes of books that GTO published in Karen language for free distribution.

Lindsey and Dale are youth volunteers  in pioneer age, serving under GTO in Thailnad.

จากการเล่าของชาวบ้านบริเวณนั้นบอกว่า เส้นทางนี้ไม่ค่อยปลอดภัย เพราะเป็นเส้นทางที่ผู้ขนยาเสพติดเคยใช้มาก่อน

เราจ้างช้าง 5 เชื่อกสำหรับขนหนังสือที่GTOได้จัดพิมพ์ขึ้นเป็นภาษาปวากะญอ และเพื่อให้คณะโดยสาร เพราะระยะทางที่ต้องเดินต้องใช้เวลาเดินถึง 10 ชั่วโมงนี้ พวกเราไม่เคยเดินมาก่อน

We were told that the route to this area is dangerous as it is frequently used by drug traffickers.

We hired 5 elephants for carrying books that GTO had published in Karen language and  for riding. Because of the distance which, at least 10 hours, and we’ve never walked before.

สหายวิลเลี่ยมวัย 60 ปีผู้นี้ อายุไม่ได้เป็นอุปสรรคเลย เพราะเขาเป็นคนที่ใจเย็นและแน่วแน่ในสิ่งที่เขาทำ

หลังจากที่เรานั่งโยกเยกบนหลังช้างตามจังหวะช้างเดินได้ 2-3 ชั่วโมงแล้ว พวกเราบางส่านเริ่มเปลียนใจ เพราะเราเริ่มคิดได้ว่า เหนื่อยจากการเดิน ดีกว่าไปถึงด้วยอาการปวดหลังปวดเอว

Brother William who is in his sixties, is cool and steady with the work he is doing. His old age is not hiden him to go this distant.

After 3-4 hours on elephant’s back swinging along with the elephant rhythm, they changed their mind and started to walk some because being tired from walking is better than being wet from elephant spray when we reach the village.

ในการเดินทางเที่ยวนี้ เป็นการไปในพื้นที่การทำงานของศจ.ธนู ผู้ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญมากผู้หนึ่งในพื้นที่อ.แม่สะเรียง จนถึงจ.แม่ฮ่องสอน ในวัย 70 ปีนี้ เขามีผู้รับใช้ฯในพื้นที่พิเศษ ที่ทำงานร่วมกับเขา ตลอดแนวชายแดน 8 ท่านด้วยกัน

ศจ. ธนู ถึงแม้จะได้เกษียณจากงานของสมาคมชาวกะเหรียงคริสเตียน(อ..แม่สะเรียง)ก็ตาม แต่เขาไม่เคยหยุดงานรับใช้ฯ และงานเขียนหนังสือของเขาเลย

We involves went together with our most important evangelist from Maesariang. Rev. Thunu  has some of his evangelists post  along the border area between Maesariang and Meahongsorn. In that  particular area, there are 8 evangelists who work in very difficult situation. Our companion in his seventies, Rev. Thunu had retired from his Maesariang Karen Christian Association work but never stoped evangelizing nor stoped writing  for his Christian work.

As we arrived at each evangelist working village, we were greeted by the songs and dances by the children by the bonfire.

ทุกหมู่บ้านมีผู้รับใช้อยู่ ในตอนกลางคืนเราจะรับการต้อนรับโดยการแสดงการร้องเพลงและการเต้นรำให้ผู้มาเยือนโดยเด็กๆในหมู่บ้าน
